Cubital Tunnel Syndrome is a condition brought on by increased pressure on the ulnar nerve at the elbow. Commonly called the “funny bone,” the nerve lies directly next to the bone along the bony bump on the inside of the elbow. When the pressure on the nerve becomes great enough to disturb the way the nerve works, then numbness, tingling, pain, and a burning sensation may be felt in the elbow, forearm, hand, and/or fingers; making it a common cause of upper-extremity pain.
the first symptoms patients often notice include: numbness, tingling or aching in the forearm and hand. This numbness or tingling most often occurs in the ring and little fingers.
Often symptoms occur with pressure on the nerve when:
"Cell Phone Elbow" is a form of Cubital Tunnel Syndrome and can develop when the ulnar nerve is stretched for long periods of time. This restricts the blood flow to the ulnar nerve at the elbow and can cause the nerve to become irritated. Patients experience pain in the elbow which radiates numbness and tingling down through their ring and little fingers.
The most effective treatment for Cubital Tunnel Syndrome is stabilizing the elbow so the stressed ulnar nerve can heal. The stabilization of the elbow limits movement and reduces irritation. Although anti-inflammatory medication can provide temporary relief, treating the ulnar nerve damage will restore long-term use of the elbow. Wearing the Cubrace will help you recover faster and help rebuild your elbow function.
Cubrace is the answer you seek to restore your freedom, recover faster, rebuild your function, and reclaim your life.
The Cubrace is an elbow brace that was developed by neurologist; Gene C. Cheng, M.D. Cubrace was developed to help patients with Cubital Tunnel Syndrome and ulnar nerve damage. Dr. Cheng did research and found there wasn't a brace in existence that had been made for Cubital Tunnel Syndrome symptoms to help his patients with tingling in fingers and pain in the elbow.
Over the course of an additional 3 years, several companies have helped manufacture and enhance the design modifications. Extensive medical research, patient testing, and feedback have refined the design. The Cubrace has become a verified, one of a kind product, that is patent pending, and has been shown to be effective solution for treating Cubital Tunnel Syndrome.
Rebuild your function, and Reclaim your life.
Gene C. Cheng, M.D. has been practicing medicine for over 20 years. Dr. Cheng started his career in internal medicine at Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. He studied neurology at the University of Utah and the University of Illinois. He is a member of the American Medical Association and American Neurological Association. He has been a neurologist for more than a decade with a special interest in Electromyography (EMG) and Nerve Conduction Velocity (NCV). Dr. Cheng is affiliated with OSF, Methodist, and Proctor Hospitals in Peoria, Illinois.
"Throughout the years, I have seen many patients with Cubital Tunnel Syndrome. I tried to find the appropriate elbow brace to immobilize and treat cubital tunnel. Unable to find the right type of brace for patient relief I started a quest to create an elbow brace, and Cubrace was developed. Patients who have used this brace have experienced great improvement."
One of Dr. Cheng’s patients was experiencing electrical shocks through her arm causing her pain, discomfort, and a deep fiery feeling in her arm. Upon receiving the Cubrace her first thought was, "No way is this going to help me." She wore a newly designed Cubrace and was amazed how quickly it helped her problem. "I wore the Cubrace mostly at night and found wearing the brace taught me to keep my arm straight consciously. The pain and electrical shocks in my arm have totally disappeared. I would recommend the Cubrace to anyone suffering with arm pain."
–Patient, Valerie HallAfter a sledding accident, X-rays revealed tissue damage, constant pain, numbness, tingling, and finally a burning sensation in this patients' left arm and hand. "It had become painful to do minor tasks and the pain at night was unbearable, causing many sleepless nights." A referral to Dr. Cheng proved to be life changing when he introduced her to a prototype of an arm brace, the first patient to use the Cubrace, to help Cubital Tunnel Syndrome. After several months she noticed her symptoms were totally gone; she had restored feeling and use in her arm and hand. "If it hadn't have been for Dr. Cheng, his research, and time developing the Cubrace I would have had surgery. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Cheng and Cubrace."
–Patient, Simone StewartAs a construction worker and manager for a utility company this patient had ongoing intense pain and discomfort. She knew the complications and risks of surgery; as she had discussed the complications with other patients who had found the surgery had not helped them. One patient had shared with her she had lost movement in her hand after having the surgery. Reluctant to have the surgery she sought another opinion from Dr. Cheng. "I would highly recommend Dr. Cheng and the Cubrace for relief of pain from Cubital Tunnel Syndrome. Before Cubrace I could barely pour a cup of coffee. While I no longer wear the brace all the time, I still occasionally wear it after overworking my arm like painting or pulling weeds. Cubrace has made a huge improvement on my quality of life."
-Patient, Jennie Dow Robertson-The feedback from the many patients who have worn Cubrace, have contributed to the evolution of the design changes and Cubrace becoming a product that patients can receive from their medical professionals to find relief from pain, numbness, tingling, and a burning sensation from Cubital Tunnel Syndrome.
